Social Emotional Learning

By Skilled Carer

When exploring emotions and these topics with people it can be very confronting and is best implemented over a period of weeks. The sessions can evoke emotional responses from those who have experienced trauma’s and can heighten many of us. Short sessions are preferable. Regardless of how much success you may find you have initially I believe in education so although it may not feel super successful initially, it can open a dialogue that may not have been possible before. If the participant withdraws or seems disengaged it can be still possible to explore topics with another person around and the participant will learn through osmosis.
